Leonardo was an artistic scientist and a scientific artist; this camp explores both aspects! Design contraptions for the future, learn the story of Da Vinci's famous horse, smile with Mona Lisa and play with portraits!

Day camps for ages 6 to 9

Explore the music, dance, visual art, theatre and more found in four different countries or regions.

Brazil Day Camp: August 5 - (Sold Out!)

• From the streets of Rio de Janeiro's Carnaval celebrations to the Amazon rainforest, Brazil is a colourful and lively place.  Participants will design and build their own festive headdresses, imagine the sounds of the rainforest, and explore traditional Brazilian moves.

 Ireland Day Camp: August 6 (Sold Out!) & August 25

• The magic and merriment of the Emerald Isle comes to life through traditional music, dance and stories.  Participants will create a coat of arms for their family name, design Celtic knots, and paint in 40 shades of green.

 Japan Day Camp: August 7 (Sold Out!) & 26

• Travel to the futuristic and mystical country of Japan! From Hello Kitty to Godzilla, Japan is inhabited by all sorts of interesting creatures. In this camp we will create our own Japanese inspired character toys, origami zoo, and our own working robot!

 Mexico Day Camp: August 8 (Limited Space!) & August 27

• Take a trip down south to experience the music, dance, art, and festivities that colour Mexico. Together we will discover the importance of corn, skeletons, mud, and other oddities in this one-day, action-packed, art-making adventure.

• Non-members: $42.00/day/child
• Members: $39.00/day/child

Program Details

• Maximum 18 kids per week
• All camps run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Each child must bring a healthy lunch and 2 snacks for each day of camp
• Program takes place in the Creative Kids Museum Classroom
• Please send your children with clothes that they can paint in
• Participants must provide their own transportation to and from the TELUS World of Science for this program.

Pre- and post- program supervision

Pre- and post-care supervision is available for registered campers from 8:00 a.m. –- 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. –- 5:30 p.m. Please register for this program when booking your child in camp.

Cost: $8.00/day for both pre- and post-care or $4.00/day for only pre- or post-care. If children are left unattended after 4:10 p.m. they will be placed in this service and you will be charged for proper supervision.
