The Aesthetics of Revived Objects

How do you work with found objects (sometimes called ‘junk’) to create something artistic that goes beyond simply gluing stuff up? How can we as teachers inspire children to consider the aesthetic value of the objects that they transform? Guest artists, Laurel Smith and Suzanne Piechotta, Director at the Throw Away Gallery present this workshop of techniques and ideas for the classroom. Participants will be able to create their own art piece to take home.
